Niche Marketing - Money Can Grow On Trees

Like most persons, each day I am bombarded with new messages in my inbox about new moneymaking opportunities. It got me thinking that there are still under fulfilled niches out there.

With all the current websites online, I know it is hard to believe but, maybe there still exist opportunities to create new profitable businesses. The first thing to think of is the available niches that exist. There are various ways to ascertain such information.

Use Your Brain

Observation and experience are some of the best ways to come up with creative business ideas. No research in the world can help you if you do not have a viable idea to research.

Start by looking around your home, work, family circle and lifestyle to see if there are any improvements where you could offer a service or product to fill the gap. If you have thought up an idea, put it to the test. This is where you start your actual research. Too many persons only resort to their brain after they have spent wasted hours aimlessly looking up used ideas online.

Chances are if it is easy to find online, then the niche is already on its way to becoming over served. Why not sit down with a pen and paper and come up with the ideas of the products you want to sell and see where it takes you.

Resource Materials

Personally, I collect a wide array of business e-books and software that I use as resource material. I simply enter the desired keyword or search term into Google ( or any other search engine). I then refine my search by adding the word free to the search term and you would be amazed at the quality of free information available online about most topics.

Some of the website you visit and the e-books you download will offer better insight into how best to create niche sites. Some provide the guidelines while

others provide actual complete website template and sales site as well as software. This is a starting point from which you can expand and grow your business.

Domain Search

Check for deleted or expired domains. See the market they cater to and check the viability of that niche. If many sites in that niche are being sold out, then maybe it is not one for you to enter.

Some of these sites though, if the niche looks promising may be a good buy. They sometimes already have traffic coming to it and represent and good way to jump right into a particular niche.

Keyword Search Tools

Think up some niche markets that you know of or if you have an idea on a new niche. Then use a keyword tool such as Overture Keyword Tool to determine the feasibility of using such a niche.

See how many searches were done over the last month. This tells the possible current demand for your product. There are certain questions you need to ponder. Is the niche under or over served?

It should be noted that it can no longer be a niche if everybody is already selling in that particular niche. If too many sellers are there, then competition will be too stiff for usually a small market.
